Dear ATEB members, dear partners, dear sponsors,
This year’s Annual General Assembly held at the PwC premises on February 26, 2014 marked the end of an era. Olivier Brissaud, founder of the Association, decided to step down as Chairman of ATEB. Over the past 23 years, Olivier built up the Association from scratch into a solid organization with a continuous flow of events and trainings and a significant national and international reputation.
I have the privilege to have been elected as his successor and I look forward to capitalize on Olivier’s achievements and further develop ATEB, together with the other Members of the Board: Karen Van Den Driessche, Alain Vande Reyde, Tim Van Raemdonck, Daniel Mirgaux, Stéphane Denis, Olivier Brissaud, Luc Vlaminck, Patrick Holemans, and Philippe Kneipe.
ATEB exists for and through its members. Our main goals are to ensure that ATEB’s offering in terms of events, trainings, and representation is aligned with the members’ key interests and to incentivize the members to actively participate in the development of ATEB’s initiatives and events. The Board has been working over the past months on a project that hopefully will create the environment for achieving this. Using the following link you will be able to access the presentation describing this project, as well as the redefined organization chart.
In essence our goal is to develop our organization along the essential building blocks of any treasury function and create a forum for every building block that would allow all interested members to drive the content of the activities that will be deployed by ATEB.
We obviously will continue to partner with the wider national and international corporate treasury community to enrich and support our activities.
I realize that that we all have a full agenda, but hope that you will find some time to attend our events and actively contribute to your Association, which in turn, I trust, will provide you added value in your current position and future career. I encourage you to contact myself and the Board members for any ideas, questions, and suggestions you have.
We look forward to meeting you frequently at our events.
On behalf of the ATEB Board
