Letter of the Chairman, February 2015

Dear members,

On the 3rd of February we held our Annual General Assembly. I would like to thank all the members that attended or provided their proxies. This Assembly was quite exceptional since 5 iconic long serving members of the Board decided to retire: Olivier Brissaud, Luc Vlaminck, Stephane Denis, Philippe Kneipe and Alain Vandereyde. On behalf of all the members I would like to thank them for their contribution over many years to the development of ATEB into a thriving and well established professional organsation. Their retirement leaves a significant gap, but I am happy to welcome four new Board Members to carry on the work and support the further growth of ATEB: Ariane Van der Eecken, Michel Verholen, Patrick Verspecht and Jean-Michel Harlepin. Hereby you will find an updated organisation chart showing the Board members' respective responsibilities. Don't hesitate to contact anyone of them for any queries, ideas or suggestions regarding their respective areas of responsibility.

The Assembly was hosted by PwC who made a very relevant presentation on the potential impact of OECD taxation initiatives (BEPS) on the treasury function, notably on inter-company financing, the use of hybrid instruments, transfer pricing and the deductibility of inter-company interest. The presentation can be accessed using the following link .

Please also note that the 2015 program has been further completed.
Details can be found on our website in the Events section. I look forward to meeting you soon at one of our events.

Best regards
